Basic form in defense:

- wide & stable base, ballanced stands

- shoulders over knees, knees over toes

- hands appart in front of body

- take the ball early, high off the floor

 

* Width of stands & depth (knee bend) depending on

- place on court

- relation to attack

- tactical considerations

Technical keys in defense:

- in rythm with attacker, stopped on impact

- take the ball early, high off the floor

- soft knees, body behind ball

- don't drop your hips, keep on feet as long as possible

- play throug the ball
